ServiceMaster Restore of Edmonton requires experienced Project Manager with a proven track record in managing construction/restoration/renovation projects. 

Position Overview

Our Project Managers are the primary point-person responsible for planning, executing, and delivering projects on time, within budget, and in accordance to specifications. 

As a Project Manager you are responsible for effectively managing all insurance claims assigned, this includes efficiency planning, organizing and directing the emergency and rebuild processes to each claim. The Project Manager strives to achieve company objectives through effective communication with homeowners and insurance companies (adjusters/brokers) while maintaining a balance between cost, time, quality and safety.

The right candidate will be responsible for maintaining and developing their existing client base and book of business while developing new relationships with insurance agents, property adjusters, property managers, insurance brokers, etc. 

 

Responsibilities

·         Manages multiple claims/jobs
·         Attend the job site to view damages, meet with adjusters and clients to discuss details of loss.
·         On site estimation for residential and commercial mitigation and reconstruction.
·         Scheduling, cost determination and quality assurance of all insurance and non-insurance claims.
·         Completing all claims to ensure standard is kept in tack.
·         Manages performance of all trades and sub trades.
·         Document claims, scopes of work and service provided.
·         Manage contracts accordingly.
·         Coordinates and schedules trade and supply logistics between multiple sites.
·         Monitors project milestones to ensure projects are on track.
·         Direct trades and personnel based on predetermined parameters.
·         Monitors and evaluates the performance of project manager coordinator.
·         Seeks a balance between time, cost and quality constraints.
·         Market ServiceMaster of Edmonton to grow network.
·         Reallocate resources across multiple projects where necessary; identify and resolve any resource allocation discrepancies. 
·         Adhere to established methodologies for project management. 
·         Produce regular reports (status, escalations, etc.) on the progress of projects; deliver these reports during regular stakeholder meetings. 
·         Track all project costs to ensure completion within budget; procure extra budget funding where necessary. 
·         Closely monitor the efforts and billing of third-party workers, such as consultants, contractors, and other specialists. 
·         Identify and resolve conflicts within project teams and associate work; create contingency plans to mitigate risk. 
·         Manage project dependencies. 
·         Conduct project post mortems in order to identify areas for improvement; make recommendations based on findings. 
·         Complete walk through upon project completion.
 

Qualifications

·         5-7 years restoration/project management experience
·         PMP Certification an asset
·         Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
·         Working knowledge of construction process, building code, and safety code.
·         Knowledge of Xactimate is an asset
·         Ability to participate in on-call rotation
·         Excellent communication skills; verbal, written, presentation and listening.
·         Strong decision making, problem solving and analytical Skills.
·         Ability to manage deadlines, resources and multiple projects.
·         Flexible and adaptable to rapid change.
·         Intermediate to advanced experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and Internet Explorer.
·         Ability to prioritize
·         Attention to detail and accuracy in composing and proofing written materials
·         Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships
·         A basic understanding of accounting and budgeting principles is required
·         Must be professional, organized, and efficient
·         Demonstrated success in project delivery and execution of project management methods. 
·         Familiarity project management software. 
·         Ability to assess corporate climate, socio-economic factors, trends, and other criteria to determine chances of project success. 
·         Highly effective negotiation, diplomatic, and conflict resolutions skills. 
·         Able to effectively communicate with all types of staff, including technical, professional, and upper management. 
·         Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills. 
·         Ability to create and edit project documents, materials, and presentations. 
·         Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with business units, corporate departments, key managers, and other stakeholders. 
·         Flexibility to adjust to shifting priorities and deadlines. 
·         Persuasive and motivating, with a strong focus on managing sub trades.
