ServiceMaster of the Valley is now hiring a General Manager for its Cleaning Division!

Job Description:

The ServiceMaster Clean General Manager will manage all aspects of ServiceMaster of the Valley’s cleaning division, including janitorial contracts, residential and commercial carpet cleaning, and special projects. The successful candidate will assist with hiring, scheduling, supervising and training staff, securing new business, and managing existing contracts, all while maintaining the highest standards for which ServiceMaster is known.

Responsibilities:

  • Selling ServiceMaster’s cleaning services to new clients in the Annapolis Valley.
  • Training cleaning technicians on ServiceMaster’s standards, products, processes and procedures. 
  • Overseeing staff performance and ensuring all work is completed in accordance to set task schedule.
  • Performing inspections and give constructive performance feedback to staff members in order to promote a system of continuous improvement.
  • Making necessary scheduling adjustments in case of illness or emergencies.
  • Responding to customer concerns and requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Contributing to a positive and respectful work climate.

Qualifications:

The successful applicant will possess the following:

  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Demonstrated sales experience.
  • Ability to initiate and maintain relationships with new clients.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • 2 years of management/leadership experience is preferred.
  • Experience in the cleaning and/or restoration industry is an asset, but we are willing to train.
  • Strong computer skills and comfortable with software such as MS Office.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills and be dedicated to continued learning.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills, with an emphasis on providing top notch customer service.
  • Ability to hold others accountable in a supportive and challenging way.
