ServiceMaster Restore of Edmonton is seeking experienced Crew Chiefs that will be strong leaders, on all types of job sites that have been affected by flood, fires, mold, trauma and sewer back up.
Responsibilities
- Crew Chief to attend job sites with their technicians on the emergency response team to attend losses such as flooding/sewer back up/fire/wind.
- Mentoring technicians.
- Determine equipment and supplies needed for each loss.
- Company representative with clients.
- Good housekeeping, safe and organized worksites.
- Effective communication with dispatch.
- Responsible for safety at each work site,.
- Photographs the work site before, during and after emergency work.
- Ensures water readings (Daily Psychometric Readings) are documented at every loss for both air humidity and structural.
- Daily submission of accurate daily reports.
- Completes all necessary paperwork
- Daily communication with Project Manager.
- Collects all applicable samples for the Project Manager.
- Provides clients if requested with SDS sheets for products used in their home.
- Conducts vehicle maintenance inspections; cleans and maintain vehicles both inside and out.
Qualifications
- 5 years of direct working experience in restoration linked to fire/water loss or related.
- Valid Class 5 Alberta driver’s license required
- CSTS certification
- Must have your own tools, basic carpentry skills and working knowledge of tools
- Always wears appropriate PPE and company attire/uniform
- Understands and implements standard protocols for Water Remediation, Mold, Asbestos and Contents handling.
- Strong Leadership and Communication abilities
- Proficient working and applied knowledge of demolition and tear outs.
- Ability to remain calm in times of stress a chaotic situation.
- Knowledge and working ability to properly use equipment.
- Must possess proficient knowledge of proper demolition procedures
- Sound construction knowledge related to sites and terminology
- Ability to recognize any risks on site or if special PPE is required.
- All crew chiefs should have Asbestos awareness.
